Kelly’s Oriental Tattoo Design

Kelly was an existing Zealand Tattoo client who had a tattoo piece completed of a small dragon.

For her next tattoo design with Zealand Tattoo, and the featured work as depicted, Kelly decided to have tattoo design brainstorming session with tattoo artist, Zane.  As a result of Kelly consulting with Zealand Tattoo – she was informed on the benefits of ‘timeless’ art styles (such as Oriental Tattoo Art) and the Japanese Tiger tattoo design was selected as the subject matter.

2Photo # 2 shows the final Tattoo piece that was entitled “Tattoo by Zane” and was one of five of Zane’s Tattoos which were photographed from the South Island New Zealand Tattoo Expo. All five tattoos were published and featured in the Australian Tattoo Magazine.

Dan’s Oriental Koi Fish Tattoo Design

Dans02Dan came into our Studio with the idea of having the Metallica “Justice for All” Album cover tattooed on his arm (Statue of Liberty holding Justice scales – signifying the balance between good & evil, life & death etc) . After an initial Consultation and Art Brainstorming session, Zane recommended that we approach the piece as an Oriental style Tattoo design.

Dans02 The design has a tree on the upper arm area, in autumn colours that represents dying or the death side of the cycles of life.

Jen’s Phoenix Tattoo Design

Jans02

Jen emailed us from Australia with a request to have us design a Phoenix Tattoo for her foot. She had attached a ‘typical’ Tribal style of Phoenix Image as an art reference and given our ‘aversion’ to more fad orientated Tattoo art styles – we searched our archives for a fuller, more stylised design picture. The end result was that of Zane constructing this Phoenix design piece with an aspect of ornamental flow. The Tattoo design was free-handed on and then applied to Jen’s foot.

Monique’s Ornamental Tattoo Design

003bMonique came into our Studio and wanted a Tattoo Cover Up to fully obscure an old tribal Tattoo design.

002After an initial Consultation and Art Brainstorming session, Monique decided to follow Zane’s artistic recommendation of having a classy, feminine Ornamental Tattoo design constructed . This image shows how the design piece has been freehanded on to cover the old Tattoo.
